Spectacular ‘ring of fire’ Solar Eclipse on Sunday, 20 May 

People in east Asia and the western part of the U.S. will be able to look up in the sky on Sunday to view this rare event.  Here in the UAE we can watch it as it happens over the internet at the following websites:

The event starts at about 11:30pm UAE time over east Asia, and about 4:30am UAE time Monday morning over the U.S. 

Did you know?  The next solar eclipse that will be visible over the UAE is on 26 December, 2019!

A new species of chameleon small enough to easily perch on the tip of a match – the tiniest chameleon ever discovered – has been found on a small island off Madagascar.

Sadly, researchers warn that the newly discovered chameleon species is extremely threatened because of habitat loss and deforestation in Madagascar.
